About me.
I live in upstate New York with my husband and our cat, Joey, where we spend summers growing and preserving our own fruits and veggies.
I worked as a physical therapist with a specialty in orthopedics for ten years before a family tragedy changed the trajectory of my life. I turned to knitting with the hope of finding quiet solace for my broken heart. Instead, I found an entire loving community of fiber artists who welcomed me with open hearts and enthusiastic needles.
My peaceful pastime gently evolved into designing knitting patterns that fit my style and my love for simplicity. I work mainly in clean lines and classic shapes with a playful or whimsical touch here and there. I’m not particularly trendy or complicated in my knitting designs, or my life in general, but I do what I love and that makes me love what I do.
The Coming Around bandana cowl features simple stitch patterns, making it an easy and fun knit that doesn't take too much brain power.
Coming Around starts at the top center and is worked back and forth initially and then joined in the round. It uses knits, purls, easy ribbing, and simple yarnovers to create a cozy, squishy cowl that is beautiful and effortless to wear.
Three colors of fingering weight yarn are used in Coming Around; I used a wool and silk blend for extra drape, but any fingering weight yarn will work.
***You are purchasing a pdf of the knitting pattern for the Coming Around cowl in English; you will not receive a paper pattern or a knitted shawl.***
