This shawl is knit as a biased rectangle using two complementary neutrals in varying stripe patterns that hold the knitter’s interest, accented with a bright pop of color in the form of an applied reversible cable border. Jazz things up by using a speckled or hand-painted skein in place of one of the neutrals, or tone it down by knitting the border cable in a softer color.
