Bridge Road Light

$7.00

Bridge Road Light is a triangular shawl that takes three colors of fingering weight yarn and is filled with a variety of simple textures and multiple color changes, making it a fun knitting pattern that’s easy to wear.

Bridge Road is my favorite place in Florida. It’s shaded from the hot sun, and has a low draw bridge that crosses over the Intracoastal Waterway. It makes for a lovely walk that ends right at a small public beach on Jupiter Island.

Size: 88” x 30”/ 224cm x 76cm.

Needles: US 5/ 3.75mm, or size to obtain gauge, in long circulars.

Gauge: 22 sts and 27 rows = 4”/ 10cm in Stockinette stitch. Differences in gauge will affect drape and yardage requirements.

Yarn: fingering weight:
A: 250 yards/ 230 meters;
B: 400 yards/ 366 meters;
C: 300 yards/ 275 meters.

Notions: 2 stitch markers, tapestry needle.

Sample knit in: Emma’s Yarn Super Silky (80% superwash Merino, 20% silk; 400 yards/ 100g) in Set Sail (A), Navy Blazer (B), and Yarn Husband (C).
