Emma's Yarn Kit for The One Where Everyone Learns to Knit
The One Where Everyone Learns to Knit cowl is a celebration of the iconic TV show Friends. It features the famous lines, How You Doin? and We Were On A Break, plus over a dozen motifs inspired by memorable moments from ten years of renowned comedy.
You'll knit your way through coffee mugs, dinosaurs, the infamous red sweater, Joey's penguin pal, Chandler's vest, Smelly Cat, and more in this dk weight cowl in five colors. You can get all of the pattern details here, or see it on Ravelry here.
I teamed up with my friends at Emma’s Yarn to create fun colorway combinations that fit beautifully with the whimsical and iconic pattern motifs!
Each kit comes with: 555 yards of Emma’s Yarn Simply Spectacular DK in a colorway combination perfect for The One Where Everyone Learns to Knit.
Kit options:
Friendsgiving
The original inspiration colors for the cowl, this combo screams autumn and Friendsgiving. Touch football in the park, playing for the Geller Cup; the one where Underdog gets away; and Rachel’s trifle, to name a few of my favorites.
MC: Weathervane (305 yards)
CC1: Roasted (50 yards)
CC2: Cherry Merlot (100 yards)
CC3: Oh My Gourd! (50 yards)
CC4: Wish You Were Beer (50 yards)
I Got Off the Plane
Sophisticated jewel tones against warm ivory; a bold and beautiful palette worthy of our favorite fashionista, Rachel Green.
MC: Whisper (305 yards)
CC1: Harbor (50 yards)
CC2: Bobbin (50 yards)
CC3: Crown Jewel (50 yards)
CC4: Navy Blazer (50 yards)
Gum Would Be Perfection
“I’m trapped in an ATM vestibule with Jill Goodacre.” Who can forget Chandler’s awkward blackout “date” where he chokes on someone else’s chewed gum?
Brilliant neons against darkest gray.
MC: After Dark (305 yards)
CC1: Shut the Front Door (50 yards)
CC2: Aloha (100 yards)
CC3: Road Work Ahead (50 yards)
CC4: No Flash Photography (50 yards)
A Moo Point
Cow’s opinion aside, this combination is elegant and classic. The stark contrast of almost-black and palest silver is brilliantly accented with a deeply bold pink.
MC: Silver Lining (305 yards)
CC1, 3, & 4: After Dark (150 yards)
CC2: Bobbin (100 yards)
